Two-tone Tumbler cut213
Two-tone Tumbler cut213
by Shimadzu Satsuma Kiriko
Handcrafted in Kagoshima, Japan, this exceptional Satsuma Kiriko tumbler showcases the refined brilliance of traditional Japanese cut glass artistry.
Unlike conventional Satsuma Kiriko, where the colored overlay near the rim is partially removed to create a stepped band, this piece features a continuous cut pattern flowing seamlessly from the rim into the overlay design. Within the intricate Nanako (fish-roe) pattern, a delicate two-tone gradient is expressed with remarkable precision.
Deeply carved lattice cuts lend a powerful visual presence, creating a bold yet refined aesthetic. The balance of strength and elegance makes this tumbler a striking addition to both modern and traditional table settings.
Each piece is individually hand-cut by skilled artisans, ensuring that no two are exactly alike.
