Kashoki Vase (Cut 872)
Kashoki Vase (Cut 872)
by Shimadzu Satsuma Kiriko
This elegant barrel-shaped vase features a gently tensioned upper form, creating a refined silhouette that feels both stable and graceful.
An intricate octagonal kagome lattice formed with single and triple yarai cuts encloses chrysanthemum motifs, arranged in three oval panels for a dignified and harmonious composition.
The rim is cut into 22 facets and the base into 9 facets, allowing the signature Satsuma Kiriko gradient to glow softly as light moves across the surface.
The slightly narrowed opening helps tall flowers stand gracefully without spreading, ensuring balanced arrangements.
Even without flowers, the sculptural form and luminous color make the vase a striking decorative object.
